My timetable changes every day, and I keep postponing work until the evening. What kind of routine stayed realistic once assignments started piling up?
What study routine worked in your first year?
I stopped planning identical days. Instead, I scheduled two focused blocks around my classes and chose the next task the night before. Fewer decisions made it easier to start.
A weekly review helped more than a strict daily plan. Every Sunday I listed deadlines, estimated the time for each one, and left one evening open for work that ran late.
Use gaps between classes for small tasks: reviewing notes, creating flashcards, or finding sources. Save longer blocks for writing and problem sets. That reduced the amount waiting for me at night.
Also protect sleep. I learned less from a late-night session than from a shorter review followed by enough rest. Consistency beat occasional marathon sessions.
✓ Routine adopted
I will try a weekly deadline review, two flexible study blocks, and small tasks between classes. That feels much more realistic than forcing the same schedule every day.
